Job Description
- Lead Generation & Research
Proactively research and identify new business opportunities through lead generation platforms and municipal websites. Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of potential clients and contracts, including monitoring active and upcoming municipal advertisements within our service areas. This role will involve tracking contracts currently in progress, identifying key consultants working on those contracts, and determining their expiration dates. The Marketing Associate will also liaise with municipalities to obtain previous submittals and relevant details on active contracts.
- Proposal Preparation & Coordination
Take the lead in preparing comprehensive and high-quality proposals by collaborating with the estimating team and ensuring all Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements are fully addressed. Responsibilities include proofreading and formatting proposals for accuracy and professionalism, completing all necessary forms, and gathering team resumes, certifications, licenses, and project profiles. The Marketing Associate will also coordinate with clients and sub-consultants to collect required information and ensure timely submission. The candidate will manage the proposal process from start to finish, including printing, binding, packaging, and delivery before deadlines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Proposal Follow-up & CRM Management
Support the sales team by managing follow-ups on submitted proposals, addressing client inquiries, and providing additional information as needed. The Marketing Associate will utilize the company’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) system to track lead progress, update records, and ensure meeting schedules and activities are current. Maintaining accurate follow-up logs and staying in constant communication with potential clients will be key in securing future work.
- Social Media & Client Engagement
Manage the firm’s social media presence, with a focus on LinkedIn, to enhance visibility and engage with clients. Responsibilities include gathering content from technical staff, developing creative ideas for posts, proofreading content, and working with images to deliver high-quality, branded content. Additionally, the Marketing Associate will actively engage with clients and potential leads on LinkedIn, follow target companies, respond to comments, and promote company activities and employee achievements. Some support will also be provided for Instagram posts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a marketing type-role with at least 1 year of experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.
- Excellent writing skills especially with punctuation and grammar.
- Experience using technology to help streamline the process such as generative artificial intelligence, Canva, video editing, etc.
Education:
A high school degree is required.

Position Overview:
As Business Development Associate at PACIFICA, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team by engaging in proactive communication, lead generation, and ensuring a seamless sales process. Your responsibilities will include cold calling, following up on proposals, attending marketing events, packaging, and finalizing proposals, answering queries on behalf of the sales team, researching new leads, and handling light social media tasks. You will report directly to the Regional Manager who will provide you with direction and assignments on a weekly basis. You will work alongside the sales team and provide support to them as needed.

Pay:$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
